In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sandhyarani Tudu of TMC won in this constituency beating Gouri Sing Sardar of BJP by a margin of 15516 votes which was 7.34% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sandhya Rani Tudu of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Ipil Murmu of CPIM by a margin of 9675 votes which was 5.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sandhyarani Tudu of TMC won this seat defeating Himani Hansda of CPIM by a margin of 5166 votes which was 3.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
