In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sushanta Mahato of TMC won in this constituency beating Ashutosh Mahato of AJSUP by a margin of 13969 votes which was 6.85% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Nepal Mahata of INC was the winner in this seat beating Samir Mahato of TMC by a margin of 8587 votes which was 4.57% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Nepal Mahata of INC won this seat defeating Mangal Mahato of AIFB by a margin of 17644 votes which was 11.27% of the total votes polled for the seat.
