There were a total of 16,153 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election, of which 7,980 were male, 8,173 female and 0 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 15,231 registered voters, of which 7,980 were male, 7,549 female and 0 of the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 12,764 registered voters in this constituency, of which 6,478 were male, 6,286 female and 0 of the third gender. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 9,110 which included 4,619 male, and 4,491 female.

The number of service voters in Assembly constituency was 47 in 2019, 16 in 2014 and 14 in 2009.

In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Dilli Ram Thapa of SDF won in this constituency beating Nagendra Bikram Gurung of SKM by a margin of 757 votes which was 6.42% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Prem Singh Tamang of SKM was the winner in this seat beating D R Thapa of SDF by a margin of 573 votes which was 5.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Prem Singh Tamang of SDF won this seat defeating Arun Kumar Rai of INC by a margin of 4,563 votes which was 60.73% of the total votes polled for the seat.
