In 2014, Dorjee Dazom Bhutia of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Pema Wangyal Bhutia of SKM by a margin of 3,179 votes which was 30.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Sonam Gyatso Bhutia of SDF won this seat defeating Lobzang Bhutia of INC by a margin of 3,852 votes which was 44.8% of the total votes polled for the seat.
