In 2014 elections, there were a total of 9,399 registered voters in this constituency, of which 4,949 were male, 4,450 female and 0 of the third gender. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 9,599 which included 5,025 male, and 4,574 female.

In the 2019 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections, Wangki Lowang of BJP won in this constituency beating Ngonglin Boi of JDU by a margin of 1,682 votes which was 23.68% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Wangki Lowang of INC was the winner in this seat beating Wanglong Rajkumar of BJP by a margin of 916 votes which was 13.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Wangki Lowang of INC won this seat defeating Wanglong Rajkumar of NCP by a margin of 2,693 votes which was 37.18% of the total votes polled for the seat.
