In 2014, Olom Panyang of BJP was the winner in this seat beating J K Panggeng of INC by a margin of 9 votes which was 0.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, J K Panggeng of INC won this seat defeating Raising Perme of NCP by a margin of 1,280 votes which was 13.54% of the total votes polled for the seat.
