In the 2019 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections, Lokam Tassar of BJP won in this constituency beating Pani Taram of NPEP by a margin of 456 votes which was 4.12% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Pani Taram of PPA was the winner in this seat beating Lokam Tassar of INC by a margin of 277 votes which was 2.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Lokam Tassar of INC won this seat defeating Kahfa Bengia of NCP by a margin of 1,099 votes which was 12.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
