In 2014, Pani Taram of PPA was the winner in this seat beating Lokam Tassar of INC by a margin of 277 votes which was 2.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Lokam Tassar of INC won this seat defeating Kahfa Bengia of NCP by a margin of 1,099 votes which was 12.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
