In 2014 elections, there were a total of 11,244 registered voters in this constituency, of which 5,538 were male, 5,706 female and 0 of the third gender. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 10,672 which included 5,332 male, and 5,340 female.

In the 2019 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections, Gum Tayeng of BJP won in this constituency beating Tony Pertin of NPEP by a margin of 873 votes which was 8.15% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Gum Tayeng of INC was the winner in this seat beating Roding Pertin of BJP by a margin of 1,189 votes which was 11.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Jomin Tayeng of NCP won this seat defeating Roding Pertin of INC by a margin of 130 votes which was 1.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.
