However, because of only one contesting candidate in this constituency, voting was not necessary for this seat and the candidate was declared an unopposed winner.

In the 2019 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections, Mama Natung of BJP won in this constituency beating Tani Loffa of JDU by a margin of 1,554 votes which was 23.3% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Mama Natung of INC was the winner in this seat uncontested. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Tani Loffa of TMC won this seat defeating Hari Notung of INC by a margin of 311 votes which was 5.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
